Image Transparency and Opacity

Transparency describes how much you can see through an image. A fully transparent image is not visible. Opacity on the other hand, describes how much the image is able to hide the content behind it. A fully opaque image will completetly hide any image behind it. Ultimately opacity and transparency address how much you can see through an image, but each term address opposite ends of the 'see through' spectrum. The more opaque an image gets the less transparent it becomes or vice versa.
